I get a little emotional
After spending weeks and weeks working on the projects of this quarter, rarely leaving my apartment to go anywhere or do anything, shedding tears of frustration over lack of computer knowledge, I just want to be done. So when the last week before critique comes and teachers tell me there is so much to change, so much is wrong, I can’t help but get a little emotional. Just because so much effort, time and thought has gone into what I’ve done. And when I don’t receive just a little positive feedback I get these feelings like it was all for nothing.
So I can’t imagine how the people feel that designed the new olympic logo for London. After years and years of research and thousands and thousands of dollars everyone hates it. I feel so sad and sorry for them. Over 10,000 people have signed a petition to get rid of it. I hope whoever designed it is a much stronger person than I am emotionally, I just don’t know what I would do if I were in that situation.

i’m kind of loving the london logo. at least it doesn’t look like all of the other olympic logos. and don’t worry, you’ll develop a thick skin. these teachers just want your stuff to be the best it can be. they wouldn’t push you if they didn’t think you were capable of being great. it’s actually a compliment in a strange way.

also remember that “newness” is really unpopular at first. anything that is different and unique takes a little while to settle in before everyone realizes how totally awesome it is. anything that has ever been a success is always unpopular at first.
LOVE YOU!
